The Property:

Brown Lake Ranch is a nicely improved cattle ranch made up of two BLM permits. The Middle Arroyo Draw runs along the ranch’s western boundary. Terrain & Vegetation:

Middle Arroyo Draw and Rock Tank Draw are the primary drainages on the ranch providing overflow areas that enhance the grazing capacity. The primary grasses are Blue, Black and Sideoats Grama. Tobasa and Galleta Grass which grow in the draws and drainages. The terrain is gently rolling to nearly level with excellent turf providing a variety of forage.

Livestock Operation:

Currently, this is a 400-cow permit  from the BLM. The ranch is located approximately 48 miles northwest of Roswell NM.

Improvements:

There is a modern and well-kept 2,108 square-foot, 3 bedroom/2 bath, modular home. Also at the headquarters is a combination bunkhouse and shop with metal frame, concrete foundation and floor. The livestock working facilities consist of welded pipe working corrals. The corrals are designed to facilitate working cattle with several sorting pens, sorting alley, loading chute, crowd lane and squeeze chute.  All improvements were newly constructed in 2007 and are in good condition.

Wildlife:

Mule Deer, Barbary sheep, Quail, and Coyote are frequently spotted on the ranch. Occasionally, there will be Bobcat.
